Psychotherapist (MSW, RSW) Sandra Sassa
Hello, I'm Sandra Sassa, founder of Leloh Therapy. My journey as a Black Francophone immigrant who arrived in Canada as a teenager profoundly shapes my practice. During high school, I faced feelings of exclusion and a lack of mental health support, which led to my dropping out. These experiences deeply influenced my understanding of the impact of systemic barriers on mental well-being, especially within marginalized communities.
Despite these challenges, I later pursued higher education, became an academic, a mother of four boys, and a social justice advocate. My lived experiences fuel my commitment to normalizing therapy and destigmatizing mental health, especially for Black Francophones and other underrepresented groups.
At Leloh Therapy, I believe that seeking mental health support should be as routine as any other form of self-care. My mission is to create a safe, inclusive space where individuals can address their mental health needs without fear or judgment. I draw on my personal and professional journey to offer culturally aware, compassionate care, tailored to the unique experiences of my clients.
I invite you to join me on a path of self-discovery and empowerment, where mental well-being is recognized and embraced as an essential part of a fulfilling life.
